Dr Andrew Steer from WRI said, “Global Forest Watch is a near real-time monitoring platform that will fundamentally change the way people and businesses manage forests”.
This new online tool marks a significant development in the availability of real-time information from traditionally less technologically developed situations. It is exciting to imagine the range of environmental uses of this easy access, real-time mapping tool.
